Value all depends on condition....and I do not mean "Looks good for it's age" condition, I mean a professional appraisal from someone who knows and understands the firearms industry's grading and condition grades and guidelines.
That said, if you really do in fact have a 1905 dated Model 1894 Winchester in .35-55 caliber, you have a rifle that is likely worth over $1000 and possibly many times that amount. So much that it should definitely be insured on your homeowners policy and should be stored in a locked safe.
Again, it's all a matter of condition.....I'm taking a wild guess based on little information.
I strongly recommend you take some quality close up photos of the rifle from every angle and showing every mark, stamp and engraving (all the words and numbers everywhere) and post the photos on a website of dedicated Winchester collectors.
Whatever you do, do not sell it to the first offer....you really need to get a sense of the value from some real Winchester 94 experts before deciding what you may want to sell it for.
The Winchester 94 was one of the most prolific and influential American rifles ever produced. As I recall, it was designed by John Browning, who later designed most every significant gun design for the next 50 years. It is one of the most recognisable and copied guns of all time.
Here's a link to the Winchester experts. If I were you, I'd go to this forum, join and post this question there with pics.
