I would ask someone at a church that can possibly help you or you could go to a women's shelter. You may be able to find something in the yellow pages, at the beginning, under government services or just look under "shelter". OR, you could go to any local YMCA and rent a room there for you and your children.

God Bless you,

What I have found out about government housing is you have to keep calling and when they say "we're all full" you aks them for a referral of someplace else you can call. There is the county as well, don't forget that. Section 8 housing lets you move into someplace really cheap too, call around to apartment complexes and ask them if they take low-income, because they will apply for it FOR you, you don't have to do anything besides fill out some paper work. I hope something works out for you!

Call your local HUD or rural development office they can sometimes tell you of apartment complexes that have a sliding scale rent. I was lucky to find one on accident. It has really helped me out. I am also a single mom and I know that there are quite a few single parents living in my complex. I hope this is of some help to you.

I'm sorry, I don't have an answer except to reach out to friends, family, your local church, etc. I wish I could help! Hugs and best of luck...
