I was answering a question someone had just left, and by the time I'd finished composing my thought provoking answer, the question had been removed by yahoo answers.

This was a simple question about whether or not it might be about time to abandon religion in favor of science and reason. Nothing offensive per se, unless you're a bible jockey of course.

Has anyone else noticed such activity on the part of YAnswers? Besides the obviously prejudicial act of placing the religious discussion outside the Folklore & Mythology section of course...

It's really too bad that Yahoo answers has no competition, because if an alternate site existed with intelligent, rational moderators who actually follow their own guidelines, I'd switch in a New York minute. Yahoo had a good idea but because of its inept moderating crew it's beginning to turn to garbage.

Yes I have noticed it. Yesterday I received 96 answers to a positive question about atheism and it was yanked.

I don't see how a question that 96 people took the time to answer could possibly be worthy of yanking but hey if they like yanking so much I got something else they can yank.

Yummy. What a wonderfully arrogant post. How special you are in your judgemental perception of something that might have only been a glitch. Maybe the person removed the question themself? Maybe your computer brain-farted? Wisdom is ditching your arrogant sense of self and thinking maybe not everything is a "conspiracy" against you.

Not sure about their logic sometimes.
