Is 8in1 Corti-Care Hydrocortisone Spray with Aloe Vera a good product to use, on dog's inside ear rash. I've had some people tell me, it really stung when they put it on their dog, and I've had some tell me,that it really helped and did not sting. My vet recommended Benedryl Cream, but it doesn't really work. Do you think I should try this spray ?

Check the fine print on the Benadryl cream, it may be a hydrocortisone cream, and if that isn't working I see no reason why a hydrocortisone spray would. Many of the sprays have alcohol as part of the base, and alcohol definitely WOULD hurt like hell if applied to broken skin. If the skin was not broken, then no pain. So there's why some people say it stings and some don't. If she's got what looks like a rash on the underside of the ear flap, then she probably has a bacterial infection inside her ear canal-many dogs that have bacterial ear infections also have pimple-like lesions on their ear flaps. If that's the case, hydrocortisone will NOT help, and may in fact make the infection worse by suppressing the body's immune response to the infection. To make a long post short, pony up the dough and take the dog to the vet.

ok this is the second time you've asked the same question but with a different cream. any tech's answer is going to be the same. if what your vet told you to use isn't working then let your vet know it, they can tell you what else to use. don't keep asking until you get an answer you like. either take the advice, call your vet, or do what you are going to do. as i and several other's said earlier, just take your dog to the vet and find out exactly what the rash is. it's that simple.

Talk to your vet about giving your dog Children's Benedryl pills to help soothe the nervous itching. Try putting an Elizabethan collar on your dog so he can't get at his ears.

Your vet is the expert here - you can call them for free if money is your hangup.

Unless your vet told you to use it DON'T. There could be some ingredient that will cause more harm than good.
