It could well be associated with the mentrual cycle but get it checked out by a doctor (when its at its worst!);

Four years with out change I would take as a good sign but I would check with your doctor. I have had painful lymph nodes under my right arm when I have had a cold or virus.

You might try some detox/immune boosting herbals.

My immune system is always lower with pms.

My mother-in-law had lumps like you are inquireing about.You should have your lymph nodes checked fo infection.Do not use anti-persperant as this does not allow the poisons to be released from the arm pit area.Take suplements that will detoxify your body.No Smokeing,More fruits and veggies and about half the meat.People that do not sweat are prone to toxic build up in thier lymph glands.More exersize helps the body heal from better circulatoin.

i get a swollen painful left armpit the same time. had it since i can remember and i have put it down to pms. unless you have any other symptoms or it starts hurting at any other time then i wouldn't worry too much.

It could be as simple as an ingrown hair and I really shudder to say this but might be a sign of breast cancer. Please make an appointment with your doctor immediately!
