Vynal is neat, I have a bunch of em. I am currently useing Ubuntu Linux to put them all online and then give them away to anyone that wants to listen.
What you have is called 78s, it stands for 78 RPM. That is the Revolutions Per Minute of a Victrolla Record Player. Many record players also included the 78rpm in there products.
Be carefull though, they are made of a Clay like material and covered in a Vynal like substance. Drop one and it shatters like china.
Never stack or store them Flat , if you must store them flat or Horizontal, have good padding on each one and do not move them in the stacks.
They are best stored Vertically and in Packing Paper.
But listen to them, put them on Tape and whatever so that you do not have to handle them alot.
If you wish to sell them then do so.
Each record is worth about $1-$25 , some can be outrageously priced, but that is like comic books or baseball cards, one year a Mickey Mantle is woth a million, next year $150.
So take the time to save them on Tape/CD-R and maybe you can share them with the world.
