The food police say yes. But our ancestors lived and many to ripe old ages. Everything in moderation. Fried foods every day would be bad. Once or twice a week, no.

Reading other comments I can identify with most to one extent or the others. My conclusion:
We need some fat in our diets, but for the most part they need to be healthy: Example trans-fats and high cholesterol like from bangers and simlar foods.
Because I like pubgrub types of foods, fish and chips, and an assortment of other things, like an old-fashioned fry up, I try to ride the fence like a seatless bicycle.
Usually I eat a fry up only about once a month, avoid pubgrub and fry my own fish and chips, eating them only rarely.
It is the same with chocolate and other sweets, though I love treats, if I am going to not wind up a blimp, I know I have to go at it moderately.
So, yes, fats and other foods can be bad for us, but it is unlikely we can bring ourselves to completely cut out all that is bad.
Instead, moderation is, at least for me, the best approach.

Yes, the different oils that are used when food is fried is very unhealthy. A lot of it could have negative effects on your body, but some of it once in a while is perfectly fine. Not healthy but it won't kill you.

yes too much fried food can cause things like hyatus hernia which is very painfull and also give you spots which is not a good look. just limit fried foods to once a week and grill or oven cook food you would normally fry. i.e chips/sausage/bacon

If you eat them all the time, Yes, but if you eat once a week or so and other things as well there should be no big problem, just change oil frequently if you have a deep fat fryer as the oil degrades after a short while and then it is not good.

Yes, the trans fat in the oil is not good for you. It's ok if you eat fried food once in a while just don't eat it everday.

I don't eat many fried foods, but when I do, I started cooking with olive oil spread or olive oil as opposed to butter, and other cooking oils. It's MUCH more healthy this way.
