Cold-eze and get some rest, and don't cough on anyone

I use a remedy my mother in law gave me which has all natural ingredients and is really easy to make.

Bada Soup (Butter Soup)

Dice 4 or 5 large potates and add about the same amount of onions (if you have 3 cups potatoes you want 3 cups onions) in a large pot. Add 1 bay leaf, star aniseed, 1 table spoon of butter (margarine), salt and pepper to taste and water to cover all the ingredients. Bring mixture to a boil and cook until potatoes are cooked. Let simmer for about 1/2 hour to 1 hour. The longer it simmers the better. You can add oregano or parsley if you like them also and poppy seed will help if you have pain. After you eat your fill lay down and your cold should be gone or get tolerable by the next day.

We make this soup as soon as we have symptoms in this household and even my son (who hates it will vouch it works.)

Day-quil is great stuff for getting you through the day, but I don't know how it works for coughs - I rarely get colds, and almost never coughs - Triaminic has some strips that are supposed to be good. Feel better, and splurge on some really soft tissues!

When I feel a cold coming on I drink orange juice all day, this usually kicks my cold if I catch it soon enough!

If you can tolerate a 'bump' in your sugar level, I would
try some freshly made orange juice (from scratch-no
processed stuff!)....FEEL BETTER SOON!!!!!

Two DayQuil pills helped for me. (There's Nyquil, too, but that just knocks you out.)
