how can i update itunes at work if they have symantec security on the computer blocking downloads?

You can't,,,,,if they have blocked the website, then only they can unblock it.

If you try using a proxy, it will be recorded on their system and you could lose your job.

If such downloads are blocked it means they don't want you using their network for that purpose. It also likely means they have a system in place to detect when someone is trying to work around the security features and you'd probably be caught relatively easily. Is it worth the risk of losing your job so you can fool around with iTunes during work hours?
