For myself . . .
He is an actual person, but a non-entity, not even worth my attention to register him as a person. In other words, I will study his tactics, his methods, so that I may know my enemy better. Past that, I want nothing to do with him.
He was once good. Many Bible commentators believe that the account in Ezekiel 28:12-15 is speaking of Satan in a "dual role" while also prophesying about the literal city of Tyre. Thus, we are given some insight as to what made him become "Satan" Before, he had some other name, which we do not know, given to him by God. When he existed thus, these verses applied to him:
"‘“You are sealing up a pattern, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. In E′den, the garden of God, you proved to be. Every precious stone was your covering, ruby, topaz and jasper; chrys′o·lite, onyx and jade; sapphire, turquoise and emerald; and of gold was the workmanship of your settings and your sockets in you. In the day of your being created they were made ready. You are the anointed cherub that is covering, and I have set you. On the holy mountain of God you proved to be. In the midst of fiery stones you walked about. You were faultless in your ways from the day of your being created until unrighteousness was found in you. . . . Your heart became haughty because of your beauty. You brought your wisdom to ruin on account of your beaming splendor. Onto the earth I will throw you. Before kings I will set you, [for them] to look upon you." - Ezekiel 28:12-15, 17
So it seems, that he did not begin down his haughty path, until Eden. He was a Cherub. Who knows, perhaps he had some oversight over matters in Eden, and the Earth. As a Cherub, he would have had high duties. Until his pride and selfishness got the best of him. Then he stopped being that Angel, and became the Devil, the Satan. The Manslayer, and Resister.
At first, he probably thought he had God captured in a lie, if he could get just Adam and Eve to sin. Think about it. Adam and Eve sin, and eat the tree. God said that they would have to have children, and fill the earth, and subdue it. But he said that if they ate of that tree, then in that day, they would die.
He KNEW that he wasn't as powerful as God. But maybe, just if he could get them to sin, then he'd have God trapped in his own words. If he killed them, then they wouldn't fill the earth and subdue it. If he let them live to fill the earth and subdue it, then he was a liar, and didn't kill them.
He didn't realize who he was trying to play "chess" with. A) Adam and Eve were as good as dead in the same day. They pulled away from their true life source, God. The Death process began immediately, and b) They did not reach 1,000 years of age. 2 Peter says that one day with God is as one thousand years.
At this point? Satan knows that he cannot win. Look at what two of his demons said to Jesus:
"When he got to the other side, into the country of the Gad·a·renes′, there met him two demon-possessed men coming out from among the memorial tombs, unusually fierce, so that nobody had the courage to pass by on that road. 29 And, look! they screamed, saying: “What have we to do with you, Son of God? Did you come here to torment us before the appointed time?" - Matthew 8:28,29
They know what their final judgement is, and where they will be headed. They can't escape it. They were perfect creatures, who committed the unforgivable sin.
It seems that after the flood, they were prohibited from ever again materializing human bodies. They were told their judgement, and now they simply await it.
"And the angels that did not keep their original position but forsook their own proper dwelling place he has reserved with eternal bonds under dense darkness for the judgment of the great day" - Jude 5
"Certainly if God did not hold back from punishing the angels that sinned, but, by throwing them into Tar′ta·rus, delivered them to pits of dense darkness to be reserved for judgment;" - 2 Peter 2:4
They are on the earth, but whatever Tartarus is, they cannot act as they did before the flood. They are somehow restrained, knowing what their final judgement will be:
"And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven with the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand." - Revelation 20:1
Although 1 John 5:19 shows they do rule the planet. For now. Now, it's a matter of "rule or ruin". They can't rule the earth forever, so they figure they may as well ruin things as best they can in the little time they have left.
"We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one" - 1 John 5:19
Now this brings us back to the original question. Look to the archangel Michael for an example. Satan wanted to get into an argument (no doubt, trying to prove HIS point). What does the record tell us of Michael's faithful act?
"But when Mi′cha·el the archangel had a difference with the Devil and was disputing about Moses’ body, he did not dare to bring a judgment against him in abusive terms, but said: “May Jehovah rebuke you." - Jude 9
So we are just to leave it in the Father, God's hands. Let him deal with it. I won't even try to bring myself into a position where I'm judging the devil.
Let God deal with him.

Muslims do not refuse to aknowledge that Jesus Christ was a saviour.
He was a saviour of God.
but as it is, Christianity preaches one God.
Under that rule. anything and everything is His creatures..this includes Jesus.
So if you hate me for the wisdom of not bowing infront of a human. You are free to do so.
As for the devil, he is not worthy of anything remotely emotional, not even hate. As far as am concerned, hes a dwindling miserable presence that is so weak only the weak follow.

The devil is a cunning and very smart creature... He has had 1000s of years practice on doing us wrong... he knows that his days are numbered so he wants to take handfulls of us to hell with him...
We are commanded by the Lord to love everyone. However, through bible history God commanded many leaders such as Joshua, David etc... to destroy the ememy and leave none alive.
We should always trust in the Lord for His answer on who to trust and who to bring under our feet...

The devil is so powerful because he is a fallen angel. He is full of pride and figures he can defeat God and become God. Even, like us, he has read the end of the story, unlike us he still thinks he has a chance.

The devil has the powers of an angel because originally that is what he was created as. And yes, he is that stupid. His powers are diminishing slowly as no that he has been seperated from God he is dying. No he can no longer reach the heavens. Can we hate satan? God tells us that we must love what he loves and that we must hate what he hates.
As Revelation 12:7-12 tells us:
"And war broke out in heaven: Mi′cha·el and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled 8 but it did not prevail, neither was a place found for them any longer in heaven. 9 So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
“Now have come to pass the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down, who accuses them day and night before our God! 11 And they conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their witnessing, and they did not love their souls even in the face of death. 12 On this account be glad, YOU heavens and YOU who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to YOU, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.”
No we should not hate Muslims or people of any other faith, we should "Love our neighbor as ourselves". God is the judge of heaven and earth, let him decide what is bad and what is good. In do time we will reap wonderful blessings for having listened to the council of his word.
Please take the time to speak with one of Jehovah's Witnesses, they can share scriptural truths to the questions you have in your own copy of the Bible. And please don't be persauded by those who do not know Jehovah's Witness but make false statements about them. I have been one for 20 years and my life is wonderful and all my questions have been answered through the Bible.

My faith is in God, His Wisdom (His Word) and His Power. In fact, this is one of my best Bible verses And if they knew the wisdom of God, they would not reject His Son and His living Word. For it is only in Him that we live, move and have our being. The hidden wisdom is: Christ in you, the hope of GLORY! Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: It is only if we have Christ dwelling in us that we can have real hope and that we can be assured of a glorious life now and in the life that is to come. I love this question. May God bless you Donu Tim and Cookie the Dentist- try reading the verses from modern translations: 1Co 2:1 When I came to you, my friends, to preach God's secret truth, I did not use big words and great learning. 1Co 2:2 For while I was with you, I made up my mind to forget everything except Jesus Christ and especially his death on the cross. 1Co 2:3 So when I came to you, I was weak and trembled all over with fear, 1Co 2:4 and my teaching and message were not delivered with skillful words of human wisdom, but with convincing proof of the power of God's Spirit. 1Co 2:5 Your faith, then, does not rest on human wisdom but on God's power. 1Co 2:6 Yet I do proclaim a message of wisdom to those who are spiritually mature. But it is not the wisdom that belongs to this world or to the powers that rule this world---powers that are losing their power. 1Co 2:7 The wisdom I proclaim is God's secret wisdom, which is hidden from human beings, but which he had already chosen for our glory even before the world was made. 1Co 2:8 None of the rulers of this world knew this wisdom. If they had known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

Of course he's not going to win the war but he wants as many of us as he can have to suffer eternity with him! As far as hating anyone wouldn't that be giving the devil our God given power to love, to forgive! As well as breaking a commmandment! Because to hate is to be a murderer, correct?

The Bible says there is no good in him and he's the father of all lies-he is a lie. Who says we hate Muslims who believe in peace. Now when they morph in radical Muslim and have the same vision pres of Iran has that there must be bloodshed and all Islam world for their Mahdi to come back, EVERYONE has got a problem. You know what our downfall will be--we aren't taking him serious.
