The Old Testament was God's plan for his people at that time and the words of the prophets. The New Testiment is mainly about God's promise of salvation. Jesus is the fulfillment of the old testament. God required blood for the remission of sins in the old. Jesus came, died on the cross, was buried, and rose again the third day. When Jesus rose, he went to heaven and sprinkled his blood on God's alter once for all for salvation and the remission of sin. The New Testament tells us how God wants us to live now.

Yes they are the same even though the New was wrote after Christs death and Resurrection. Christ said in Psalms that the VOLUME of the Book, (Bible) is written concerning me. The Old and New Testaments go hand in hand. The first was a type, I know a lot will not understand) of when Christ would come to us 2000 years ago and fulfill the prophecies. You have to know the difference between Laws, Statutes, and Ordinances.

No. The new Testament is a perversion of the perverted Old Testament.
The NT tries to make the OT not look so perverted by introducing a new and improved God character.
However, despite the attempts of the authors to tie the two testaments together they have still not managed to reconcile the contradictions brought about by the teachings, prophecies and the fulfilment of those prophecies and erasings of those teachings.

The word "testament" has the same meaning as covenant or will. The Old Covenant was given to the Jews as a means to prepare them for the coming of Jesus the Messiah. The New Covenant is what Jesus the Christ left as a means for us to restore our relationship with God the Father. The are both part of God's plan for man. YBIC

basically the old testament is before jesus christ was sent to earth, in the old testament sins were repented by sacrificing animals and making offerings to God...man did not have a direct path to God, they had to go through high priests to offer penance etc..God seeing this felt that he needed a more direct connection with man, and sent his only son Jesus christ to come to earth, live without sin and show man the way to God...instead of making a sacrifice of bulls and goats etc...Jesus made the ultimite sacrifice by giving himself on the cross for our sins and he was resurrected 3 days later and joined God in heaven...the new testament is the coming of jesus christ, his life, his acts, his crucafixtion, resurraction, and acesion into heaven, and then the Gospel being spread by paul and peter etc...hope this helps

This is a silly question-if you read them, you will see they are completely different.
The Tanakh (what you call the OT) is the Holy Scriptures-the history of man, of Israel, and his relationship with G-d. The NT is a made up book about Jesus---who was really just a man-not G-d or the son of G-d.
