no no no these japenese cars are tuners, jokes that cant touch any high end engines with upgrades. up your anti a little and get the M5/M6 and if you arent satisfied put in a new TURBO and youll have a car that can match anything priced in the 300,000$ range.

As the owner of (my SECOND) Lexus GS 300, I have to advocate for this car. Even a "basic"model feels loaded, but get one FULLY loaded and enjoy the power, speed, efficiency, handling and class that this car has to offer. If you havnt driven one, I encourage you to take a test drive.....make them allow you to get on the highway/freeway, and FEEL for yourself how much immediate power it has. At 70k, I feel made a wise choice, as well as an investment. My last Lexus held its value better than any other car Ive ever sold, and I was thrilled to pay off my loan and have money left over to put down on my new one. Good luck, and have fun!

Question is kinda vague, but my suggestions would be...
Subaru WRX STi
Mitsubishi Evolution
Dodge SRT-4
Am I on the right track or is there another direction you were heading. Maybe an Infinity G35...basically a Nissan Skyline?

how many horses are you looking for?

A 'true' sports car isn't going to have 4 seats (4 comfortable seats)
so what you'd probably have to look for is a high end, high powered sedan with sport suspension for maybe 40k-60k, and then dump the rest of the remaining money into the engine and appearance to make it even faster and 'set it apart' from the rest.

sports cars aren't meant to be 4-seaters ... anyway, any japanese/european car that can have its engine tuned and its interior/exterior modified can be converted into sports car ... i would suggest buying a 2-seater sport car like a porsche cayman s for $70,000, etc...
