almost certainly.
but remember, someone wo is bullied will generally be insecure to start with.
confident and secure, well support kids don't really get bullied.
I'd look to home life to be the trigger for insecurity manifest in childhood or later life

I would say that the answer is yes, child hood bullying can cause you to be a insecure adult. Being bullied as a child can knock your self confidence and self esteem allowing you to think that you are never good enough or unwanted. Feeling undervalued is really sh*tty and it can take a lot of hard work and time to rebuild your confidence and ease the damage done by mindless bullies.

There are many things that can cause insecurity as an adult. I would definitely name bullying as one of them, from personal experience. While we do eventually grow out of the awkward stage, for the most part, it's hard to completely remove the conscious and subconscious impact of being perpetually picked on. James Dobson and Focus on the Family have lately been bringing this issue to the forefront of the public forum.
I perceive that being bullied all through middle and high school has made me a more compassionate person. Being a Christian, I won't despise that God let that happen, because it did make me rely more on Him and I hope my response has been to become more like Jesus.

Possibley just from the trauma of not fitting in as a child you will be more nervous as an adult. You could just end up shyer and more insecure because your not used to people having nice feelings towards you. It may also alter your ability to trust people so that you are a bit closed up.

Oh God yes. Amongst other things. I think the cause of most emotional problems of adults is caused by childhood bullying.

yes it can, if ur told something often enuf then u believe it. some people can shrug it off but for most its never forgotten. i was bullied from age 8 to 16, im 21 now with my own family and still have a cry when i think of school days. bullies r low lifes that r jealous and bored of their own lives.

its my opinion that that is the only reason for adult insecurity. there are many small forms of bullying that go un-noticed but stick with us our whole life
