Most Hindus believe that there is one god who has many forms. These Hindus did NOT read the Gita. It makes it very clear that there are no gods and that worshipping idols is idiotic. It states that all the stories are merely ways of trying to make people understand the truth. Again I say Hindus have NO gods at all.
It is disgusting the way people call themselves Hindus but don't know damn thing about it. That is why many Hindus a re becoming even stupider by converting. I am an athiest but the Hindu scriptures make a lot of sense to me.

Hindus believe in one god and you can't say otherwise it is in their religious texts, all these idols are different reincarnations, and no, they don't believe that cows and rats are gods, they respect animals and many are vegtarians, why must you distort their beliefs in attempts to degrade them like this? and don't refuse to believe what i said, because what the two people before me said are absolutely stupid rumors and misconceptions
please don't answer a question on someone else's religion when you don't know anything about their religion, and you're bound to be biased too, and for the questioner, i doubt you were looking for an honest answer, seems to me you only wanted people to join in with you and mock the religion
i'm an agnostic and quite frankly i'm sick of religion, but at least i'm tolerant and i don't insult other peoples' beliefs, just be a bit more open, it would help a lot

HIndus believe in the existence of paramatma- or the supreme atma. He is the ultimate energy of the universe(which even science agrees- if u interpret the Unified field theory!!)
Yes according to one purana there are million gods. But thats not of prime importance coz hinduism establishes the existence of the supreme power and all are probably his manifestations.
As hinduism is a very ancient religion(atleast 4000 yrs old) and is followed by a wide no. of people from differant backgrounds. Each have interpereted it differantly acc. to local traditions and they have differant branches and beliefs. But all follow a common hindu dharma "in essence".
Hindus dont pray rats!!!
But yes nature is holy to them(like sun, water, fire, cow etc)! Coz all ancient religions believed in nature worship(very logical because nature provided the very raw materials for the human civilization to develop). Even in europe there were nature worshippers in ancient times!!!

Hmmm...sounds like fishy Christian logic youre using there....I suppose the Father, Son and Holy Ghost get into fights over who is superior as well, right? Or, maybe not - maybe your God is just a schizophrenic egomaniac....
Hindus have ONE GOD who can appear in many many forms. Trumps your God, doesnt it?

Hinduism boasts of over THREE MILLION gods. That's a lot of deities. I don't think the Greeks or the Romans had that much.
The presence of these gods is not known but God Himself is known (plus, it's easier to know Him than three million deities).
