Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

I lie down in a dark room and try to sleep.

If I can't lie down, I use wrist pressure points and think about making my hand warm. The thought transferrence indeed warms the hand and arm and seems to remove sone of the blood from the head/neck area. Works for me.

Depends on the headache. If you are cold, soup can do the trick. If you are hot, an apple or pear is better.

Ibuprofen, lots of fluids, esp. green tea (hot or cold) and rest. If you can't rest, try Motrin. If this doesn't work, you might have migraines, not headaches, and you should see a doctor.
