I'm looking to buy a a good quality compact camera, and the best choices I found were the Canon SD800 and th Casio Exilim EX-Z850. Which should I get? Or is there an even better camera?

I would go for the Canon. They are one of the most reliable cameras out there. I own a Nikon DSLR, but would buy a Canon P&S over a Nikon any day. Most Canon's are metal body and therefore more durable. If the model is IS then it also has a build in Image Stabilizer. Also the canon has a wider lens, if you take lots of landscape and group shots.

Canon is infinitely better than Casio. The SD800IS is one of the best point and shoot cameras on the market right now.
