my brother was handicapped, fragile x syndrome, and probably autistic. he could not be taught anything, nor could he speak for that matter. he would grab objects and rock them back n forth, he would rock his body back n forth as part of hus autism or handicapsy. so he could not pray to god, repent, or say anything besides scream.

I believe it is the uniform testimony of Scripture that those who are not capable of making a decision to receive Jesus Christ, and who have died, are now with Christ in heaven, resting in His tender arms, enjoying the sweetness of His love. There are numerous factors supporting this viewpoint.
It is highly revealing that in all the descriptions of Hell in the Bible, we NEVER read of infants or little children there. Only adults capable of making decisions are seen there. Nor do we read of infants and little children standing before the Great White Throne judgement, which is the judgement of the wicked dead and the precursor to the lake of fire (Rev 20:11-15). The complete silence of Scripture regarding the presence of infants in eternal torment militates against their being there.
Jesus and the children. As we examine instances in which Christ encountered children during His earthly ministry, it would seem that children have a special place in His kingdom. Jesus even said, "Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven" (Mat 18:3) He also said, "Whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me (verse 5). I don't think there is any way someone could read through Matthew 18 and conclude that it is within the realm of possibility that Jesus could damn such little ones to hell!

Based on the data you've given, no one can have an opinion.

Was your brother a good and kind person? Did he spend his time whining and complaining or was he good-natured and caring of others' feelings? Was his handicap physical or mental? Was he sufficiently capable enough mentally to have a good grasp of the concept of a loving, forgiving Father and Savior? If so, did he have such a concept? If so, did he do his best to live according to that concept?

Give details if you really want an answer. Otherwise the best we can profer is that in all probability when he met Christ at the end of the tunnel and when Jesus said, "Come. Follow Me." he did so and went home to God.

My best friend just died of cancer last month. She was 32. Where you end up depends on a lot of things. It's all in the Bible.

My friend was a born again spirit filled full of faith woman of God. She believed in Jesus and believed He was the son of God. She fully trusted and relied on her heavenly father. She died in the faith. Once she shed this earthly body then she was with the Lord. Before Jesus came the righteous went to Paradise or Abraham's Bosom. After Jesus came we all go to heaven. When Jesus comes again He will create a new heaven and a new earth. All the righteous will then live on the new earth.

I believe you are absent from the body and present with the Lord. Some say sleep but when you look up the original Greek or Hebrew word for sleep it means death or to die. And well, the body does look like it’s sleeping. Some scriptures say that people who were resurrected had their soul return to their body. Also, Paul wanted to leave and be with the Lord but stayed for our benefit. So…I think we leave. Also, our soul/spirit will not be like this body. We will look the same but all young and healthy. No sickness or disease.

**I'm so so sorry about your brother. That had to be so hard to go thru. God is a righteous judge. I don't think there is a scripture for that but most believe children go to heaven (based on a scripture in Samuel regarding King David's son) and I would think it'd be the same for your brother. Again...so sorry for your loss. You are a wonderful person!

Some are taught in church that Hell is a place of suffering where evil souls go and Heaven is where good people go.

This is not a bible teaching:

Did Abraham die and went to a ever-burning hell? Surely idol worshippers would not be in heaven. Yet, Abraham was with his forefathers, Scripture says.
Joshua 24:2 - "Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor; and they served other deities," Genesis 15:15. "And you shall go to your fathers".

King David was a righteous king he must of gone to heaven? NO?
Acts 2:34 - For David did not ascend into the heavens.

When Lazarus died Jesus spoke to Martha that he was in Heaven? NO?
John 11:11 - Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.

Besides Jesus there must of been some one righteous enough to go to heaven? NO?
John 3:13 - No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.

When Jesus kingdom arrives he promised the good will go to heaven. NO?
Matthew 5:5 - Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

Surely people who are holy as saints and priests will rule with Jesus in heaven? NO?
Revelation 5:10 - You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth."

finally, the second death (from Rev 21:8) is a location for bad people to suffer in a fiery place. NO?
Rev 20:14 - And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

-The Second death is a judgment not a location. Jesus is promising that those who are not wicked will be resurrected and never die again. (Rev 20:15)

Verdict: Death is Hell. It's the grave where we are like in a sleep like state but have no conscience thought. Waiting to be brought back to life if we have followed Jesus teachings.

Kimmy by sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your dear brother. You are all in my prayers.

Heaven will be deeply appreciated by the disabled, who will be liberated from ravaged bodies and minds, and by the sick and elderly who will be free from their pains and restrictions. They will walk and run and see and hear, some for the first time.

In Heaven, everyone is free of earthly afflictions and live happy, healthy and normal lives.

I believe God takes into account of who we are and what we are capable of knowing or understanding. Even mentally retarded people can understand that they need to repent and they understand about Jesus also. Was he told?
