Well if they don't move out and their parents are at work all day who is going to be able to take care of them? What if god forbid something awful happens to their parents and the child is left alone to fend for themself? And what about when the child has children of their own, what good will they be as a parent if they are unable to teach their own child the basic skills for independence and survival.

Ok, look. The only reason a person wouldn't want to leave their parents house is if they are too damn lazy or they just dont' want to deal with responsibility.
It's like a baby. When they are first born, they can't eat. They get nourished from milk. But as they start to grow up, milk will not fill them up anymore, their body requires FOOD. It's the same with adults. Life is all about change, if you want to sit on ur lazy azz all day and let mom and dad do everything, you will never grow and be able to acheive things on your own, which is what God put you on this planet to do. Create your own life, grow, live on your own. You can't stay a baby forever and just drink milk.
I really hate people that think life is all about hand outs. You get what you work for. You only get out of life what you put into your life. Don't you have dreams? Imagination? Come on, I know you are not a total loser...

And, as a parent, OUR command from God was to teach your children the ways of life so they will be able to plant their own seed.

I think that all parents expect (hope) their kids move out some day. They don't want to have to take care of you your whole life. Don't be so selfish. When you move out it will be time for your parents to live again. Why not make something of your self, and be somebody. Don't just mooch of your parents all your life. Don't you have dreams of your own.(College, Carrer, Family, other Goals.) If you do not have these desires you were not raised correctly and that is still no excuse. Don't be an under achiever, that's the easy, lazy way out. Try to do something with your life, try to make a difference in the world, Try to be a successful person, strive for the very best and never take no for an answer. If you do not at least try you will regret it for the rest of your life you can mark my word on that.

Since no one lives forever, even adult children who choose to stay at home and live with their parents will some day (unless their parents outlive them) be faced with being on their own. Also, there is great satisfaction in working and caring for one's own needs and in achieving important things in life.

Statistically, those who do not work or achieve (whether because they are very wealthy or living off the state) have greater depression and feelings of low self worth than those who work even at "unimpressive" jobs.

Parents rob their kids of meaning in their lives when they don't teach them to be independent and to care for themselves.

All kids need to grow up eventually and take care of themselves.

Even adult children living with their parents still need to contribute financially to the household.

I don't know about everyone else, but I won't have my adult children living at home. I moved out at 17. I don't agree with adult children living with their parents, so I for one would not put up with it.

Unfortunately parents won't always be around. Sooner or later you'll have to learn.

We don't have children so they can mooch off of us for the rest of their lives...we want them to move on and be independent.

so that when they get out in the real world they can fend for themselves, because eventually, they will at some point leave, even if its only temporarily
