Supercharger if you're not worried about gas mileage loss with the jump in HP. Turbocharger if you want more HP with a little less drain on the gas mileage. It typically won't have as much HP as the supercharger but there are other things you can do to make up for the difference if you go to a tuning shop or speed shop to get some help. If you want out of the box power with no extra work...supercharger.

Either will do. Problem will be the engine (not designed for the higher cylinder pressure) You will be lucky to get 10 to 20k of life before it gives out. Upgrade your suspension so you can put that power to the road because you will be spinning your tires and not going anywhere at take off. 1st gear will be useless. Transmission and differential will grenade with more power. An 03 or 04 Cobra would be a better choice as you will eventually pay that type of money through repairs and cost of upgrades plus the Cobra is designed for that level of power and as a bonus you will have reliability.

they make mustangs with superchargers (svt cobra) so try the turbo, if you dont like it, sell the car and get a cobra, id really choose on the sound, do you like the whine of a supercharger or the blow off of a turbo?

The Cobra is nothing but a 4.6 with a supercharger!
It may make more sense for you to sell your car and buy a cobra!
You can get one in the mid 20s. (~2003)

turbo is fasted but thats a really little engine. i woudl work on getting a 5.0 ot a 5.7 what ever ford offers and getting that rebuilt for power, then gett ad ons. but turbos are faster, more expensive but if u have the cash and thats what you should get.
