I was at a restaurant, and I was talking to a good friend in a group setting. Anyway, the place where we were eating was closing and some girls were dancing in the corner. I started mentioning that they had excellent form, but it was rather rude to do it in the restaurant. My friend agreed. When I mentioned them again later, and I said they are probably going to a club. She shot back, "Well, it sure sounds like you want to join them!!" Why did she get so tissy about it? Did I offend her?

I am a female and I am talking from a female perspective.. When you are talking about how good they look in a females mind you are just sauing that they are not. You are downing them. You are saying that they are much prettier than she is. You hurt her feelings. By you saying that it makes her think that she can not compete with the. So yes you did offend her...

She must have noticed and felt that you seemed to have more placed your attention on them rather than on her. Girls quite get easily offended by this especially if they have a crush on you. Quite complimenting on your part but I'm sure wasn't that great when she snaped ;)
