I have lived with this for soooo long. For awhile they thought it was ADD, then they switched and said that it was bipolar and ran me through TONS of medication that just made it worse, or either made me not care, depressed or a combination of the above. Finally I stopped taking all the meds (by the way not a good idea to stop abrubtly - lesson learned). I found a good doctor to talk to that prescribed me Seroqueal and I've been doing great since. First time in years that I've felt normal.. This is working great.
Try to find a good doctor and talk over possibilities with him/her =) Hope this helps you some!!

Similar to ADD in that the child with ADHD has difficulty concentrating and they go hyperactive and can't cntrol their behaviour. In addition, a child may also demonstrate disruptive, overstimulated or aggressive behavior and have trouble controlling impulses. This impacts school performance and makes it very hard for the child to stay on task. ADHD is a common behavioral disorder that affects an estimated 8% to 10% of school-age children. Boys are about three times more likely than girls to be diagnosed with it, though it's not yet understood why. Children with ADHD act without thinking, are hyperactive, and have trouble focusing. They may understand what's expected of them but have trouble following through because they can't sit still, pay attention, or attend todetails.

ADD (attention deficit disorder) is a brain disorder that causes you to have trouble focusing. In some people, it can also occur with hyperactivity. In my case, I'm pretty spacey, and I'm excessively social. I have a hard time focusing on my school work, my mind is constantly running off in a million different directions. My dad has ADD, but he hasn't been diagnosed - he self-medicates with alcohol. My son has ADHD, and he's currently taking Concerta, which has been immensely helpful. He's able to sit still long enough to actually get his school work done, and he's much better able to pay attention in class. As a result, he's actually getting A's in all of his classes, where before he was getting C's and D's.
However, it does not sound to me like you have ADD or ADHD. You sound depressed to me. The only way to tell for sure is to make an appointment with a psychiatrist, though, so please do. It sounds like what's you're experiencing now is not working for you.

Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder.
It occurs in 4-12% of children 6-12years old.
Two areas of the brain, the front cortex and the basal ganglia have been associated with ADHD; specifcally its relative lack of activity in these areas, has been observed in people with ADHD.
Other possibile cause is that the right hemisphere of the brain may be malfunctioning and frontal lobe developments and functioning may be abnormal.
People with ADHD have trouble paying attention, sitting still, and have trouble finishing tasks.
That LaughingMan person could not be more wrong. I suggest people like that hold in their emotional diarhea and do some research.

I'm certainly no substitute for a doctor, but I suffered from the same for soooo long. Living without the ability to concentrate could be causing your lack of motivation, because it's very frustrating and can be embarrassing, as well. I went through a few doctors before I finally got the ADHD diagnosis, which surprised me because I thought it was a child's illness. I'm still trying to work out which medicine will be best for me, but there are medicines out there that can make you feel alot better. see a doctor and good luck!

it is attention deficit and hyperactive disorder. adhd is when you have trouble sitting still and concentrating. your mind and body are in over drive. it does not have anything to do with having bad thoughts. you may be bipolar. that has similar symptoms as adhd but it goes a little further into things like depression and anger. you should talk to your doctor about it and get some help.
good luck!

This common disorder begins in early childhood and can continue into adulthood. If not recognized and treated, it can cause problems at home, school, and work and with relationships. It sounds like you have a little bit of mania and mood disorder along with a bit of adhd... I suggest going to see a psychiatrist asap and also setting up some therapy sessions in case there's some ptsd along with it.
I work for a psychiatrist who specializes in adhd and I've never heard of symptoms quite like yours. I hope that you take my advice and call somebody who may be able to help you.

Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder, but that doesn't sound llike what you have. There sounds like some depression or maybe even some manic episodes occurring. I am not, however, a doctor and it does sound llike you need to see one before you do something bad to yourself.
