The friend should have called BOTH of you to meet this woman. I was living with a minister's family (as a nanny), they knew I was engaged and did the same thing---introduced my fiance to another girl (another minister's daughter). I never trusted them again.

Stella, take a long deep look into your heart. I don't believe she is a friend at all - atleast not to you. Why don't you trap them all into a corner and ask the questions - who what where and why? Maybe if you trap them all at the sametime - you might finally get your answer - or you may never. What was the huge importance of him meeting this person and why? Maybe there wasn't a person - maybe it was a ploy for him to go over there? I am not sure that you will ever find out the truth but for your sake I hope that you do - your mind will always wonder on this until you get peace. If you get no answers - be skeptical of being friends with this person and be skeptical of their friendship (if it continues).

I don't think a true friend would do that to you, another question you have to ask is do you want yourself or your husband to be associated with some one like that? It might be worth a try just to get rid of that friend instead of losing your marriage...

Furthermore, did he go? If he went, don't worry about the friend, worry about the husband.

Is this your friend or his? Maybe the friend doesn't think you 2 are right for each other.

It depends on why they are meeting, really. If she's not trying to hook him up with her, then there could be dozens of reasons.
