In general, oversimplified generalizations with little or no merit. By that, rather than actually making a rational statement (several teams in the southern US have real economic trouble that many factors are contributing to), we instead say things like "nobody in (your city/area) cares about hockey".

Here are a few simple Twi (a language of Ghana) words/phrases I found:
Ko yi te mo? - How are you?
Kogara - I'm fine
A ba jege sebu. - I don't have any money.
Jara be? - Where's my...?
A nyo na. - I would like a drink of water.
A nyo sana. - I would like a drink of pito millet cider
A nyo womuyiga - I would like a drink of palm gin
Twi is a tonal language, so how you pronounce things affects the meaning.
