It is too early to tell what benefit if any the curcumin (turmeric) might have as an anti-tumor agent. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turmeric
There is some promising early research taking place:
http://www.cancer.org/docroot/NWS/content/NWS_2_1x_A_Cancer_Treatment_in_the_Spice_Cabinet.asp
There is nothing conclusive yet about it providing a 'cure', but doctors are testing curcumin on multiple myeloma and advanced pancreatic cancer.
A word of caution, though, in at least one study the use of curcumin interfered with certain chemotherapy treatments. That is why it is important to conduct studies and find out the best way to utilize this type of potential treatment.

Well,
There is no cure for MM; but there are a lot of treatment options
check them out at:
www.myeloma.org
www.multiplemyeloma.org
Also a lot of new trails starting this year; I am most excited about the Mayo trial utilizing measles vacine because it goes after the MM specifically.
As far as curcumin; "SOME" people say it helps but there has not been a trial with it to prove or disprove. Only with a double blind trial, under supervision, can you really see what something does or if it is a placebo effect.
Just remeber "everything in moderation".
Good luck,

There is no known cure for myeloma. Best chance for extended survival is bone marrow transplant. What is curcumin anyway?
EDIT: oh, it's turmeric. I have heard this for ages. Well, it's not going to hurt you, it may compliment tradition therapy. I would not use it alone it has no proven effectiveness.

Curcumin/Turmeric/Haldi contains a powerful anti-oxidant.
It means that it is very good at preventing cancer. It could also help your body deal with the toxic effects of chemotherapy.
So there is no harm in using it in your food (it gives a nice color and smell),as it is also a known antiseptic.
But it won't cure cancer by itself. For that, only surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy have proven efficiency.

who knows it very well could, but you have to try it and see what result you get , remember it is a home remedy and you will have to know how to use it, people put a little in their cooking, again you could look it up on the websites.
