There are many people that advocate this or that, Atkins, Beach diet, Montignic diet, Cabbage diet, Carol Vordermans Detox etc. It really is down to you the individual which method of dieting or food retriction you wish to try. I think dieting is a buzz word for being half hearted in your efforts to actually redress your food intake. Dieting does not work unless you completely change your eating habits in the long term. Make a lifestyle change!
I can only tell you my experience of permanent weight loss, l read a book called;
"The X Factor Diet" by Leslie Kenton.
For lasting weight loss and vital health, this actually did work for me. All my teenage and early adult life l was 11 stone and size 12/14 top and 14/16 bottoms. Always had issues with buying clothes as could never find much for my size. I did start going to my local gym, and after a year still had not lost any weight. To my frustration l ended up reading this book my mum had just bought, l decided to follow the book to the letter, and a month later l had lost 1 stone and 2 dress sizes. It was an amazing feeling of triumph and success, and now l can wear anything l want. Ultimately Leslie Kentons approach is really all about healthy and natural eating habits. The Glicaemic index plays a role in helping you identify the foods that are slow or fast at releasing insulin into your bloodstream. You are basically re -booting your metabilism by stripping away all those foods high in chemical production, that are slowing your digestion down.
Good diet teamed with 3 half hour exercise a week will definetly reap rewards for you. But do not be lazy, you will have to be disciplined in you efforts. I have still maintained my weight loss eating a healthier diet, although one day a week l will treat myself to some naughty foods. This works for me, you will need to find out what works for you- go read!!

Change a few things like if you like potato chips, change to the baked kind instead of the regular kind. Drink strictly water and no sodas or fruit juices, you will see an awesome change just in that. Stay away from fried foods, you can still eat pizza and hamburgers and all that bad food. Just schedule one bad habit eating day out of the month. If you don't like to exercise, start walking as much as you can, take the stairs as much as possible, if you want to tone your arms take two bags and either put books or can goods equally balanced in each bag and that will help with toning your arms. Be patient and you will see the results, remember it took time to get out of shape so it will take time to get back into shape. YOU don't have to diet ever again.

You know the saying which says: with God all things are possible? It really means "with your imagination, all things are possible". Okay, with your imagination you can picture yourself at a specific weight and fit at the same time. It can not fail. How long will it take? Well, if you stay with it, it won't take long at all. eat 3 regular meals, but cut out the snacking. eat breakfast! it doesn't sound right but you don't want to cut out too much food. just burn more calories than you eat & you'll lose weight. just don't get too obsessed, weight is not the #1 thing in life! never,ever,ever,ever,ever...make yourself puke to lose weight!
