That when you get a perm in your hair, it grows off of it?

yes the roots grow and your left with half straight half curly (takes a while though)

I'm exactly sure what your talking about but when you get your hair permed it lasts a few months looking really nice. as your hair grows longer the new hair won't be permed so your perm sorta "falls out" as they call it. which is when you want to get it re permed.

i'm not exactly sure but i do know that if you get a perm that you still have to keep it curled...and use some anti-friz stuff

no.you can't change the way your hair grows no matter what you do to your hair, it does not change the hair folicle under your skin.
