Back off on sodium. You should only betaking in 2400 mgs a day.
Drink more water
A calorie is a calorie too many can cause weight gain in your tummy.
Unused carbs. Carbs are energy--but they can also cause weight gain
Fat is fundamental for your hormones and body but too much can stick and stay.

Eating, or avoiding, certain foods will NOT change the shape of your tummy.

Size, weight, shape and fat are all separate issues, and are controlled by different processes.

The SHAPE of your tummy is determined by which abdominal muscles are most active.

The layers you need to activate to 'pinch in' your waist are the OBLIQUES. They form the shape of a letter 'X' across your tummy.

Crunches and situps won't help; even the diagonal ones only work the upper part of the obliques. The best 'tummy trimming' exercises involve rotating your waist, either side-to-side (you can buy a turntable to stand on for this) or in figure-of-eight movements like those used in SALSA or BELLY-DANCING.

If you want to work even harder, swimming CRAWL works well, and CAPOEIRA (a cross between dance and martial arts) is very waist-based!

The short answer is: WIGGLE your tummy away.
