There is no such thing as "A Little Violent". If you are starting to get to know this person and he is acting that way. Do not walk, Run from a relationship like that. One thing is for you two to be playing around sometimes it can get a bit rough but the way you said it, it is a warning sign. He maybe a wonderful man, who treats you like a queen but no one should tolerate any type of violance. Physical Abuse can be forgotten when the pain ends but it should not be tolerated. The same goes for Emotional Abuse that is worst than any physical abuse because it slowly destroys the self-esteem.
You sound like a smart lady and deserve to be treated with respect. Do not get involved with someone who treats you like that. Good Luck.

YES YES YES!!! I stayed with the guy I was dating who was like this... I married him, had three children with him... then I had to divorce him!!! It has been 13 years since I was where you are and he still makes my life a living hell. He's still controlling and violent and abusive. It just got worse as he got older. It starts slowly with little warning signs... then before you know it you are sucked in. Girl... listen to that warning you are feeling... your mind and heart knows that you are worth more than that. You deserve to be somebody's princess don't you? Isn't that what ou dreamed of since you were a little girl? Never settle. I have my prince now, but has been a VERY painful journey here and I still cannot get that man out of my life because I have kids with him. Run baby...run!

I don't know how long you've been with him for, but I know from experience, the longer you've been with someone violent/abusive, the harder it is to leave them. I think you should get out while you can, and if you are affraid of what he'l be like when you do break up with him, make sure you have someone near by that know's about it so they can interfere or call for help if he get's violent. Good Luck.

There is no such thing as being a little violent. What you experienced was the start of more severe violence to come. Dump him and dump him now.

No man should treat a woman like that, I am totally against men hurting/hitting women. It depends how long you have been with him - has he done anything like this before? If the relationship is new I do not know if I would hang around to find out.

Yes I would dump him. There is no such thing as an acceptable level of violence. Don't fall for the I'm so sorry, it'll never happen again routine either. It always happens again.

sayed???????

Anyway, a little violence leads to more and it only becomes more aggressive. It starts out in a playful manner, and even though you are joking around, a part of him really wants to hurt you. He feels if he does it in a teasing way, he can get away with it. However, it will escalate, and if he drinks, it will get even worse. Speaking from experience here.
