Some otherwise sensible politicians are wanting "a pathway to citizenship" for illegals. Do they want the illegal vote, or are they so rich and live in such opulence they don't comprehend the harm our country and its people are enduring, or are they protecting the best interest of their big money donors, who are cheap labor employers wanting the illegal labor to stay so they can reap higher profits?

Cathy, I support amnesty and a pathway to citizenship for all illegals without a criminal record.
The harm that you mention is largely fabricated and untrue. Historically, we have hated every group of immigrants. The same lies were spread about the Irish, Italians and Vietnamese people.
Some reasonable politicians realize that we are talking about peoples families; husband, wives, grandparents! Not gangsters, or drug dealers.
I think that the politicians who support amnesty have a finger on the pulse of TRUTH in respect to 'Illegals".

Perhaps, citizenship should be granted to people who are legal in the country for the period given which is 5yrs and they go through the same legal procedures like every body else, how unfair it would be to give citizenship to people who dont even have a green card for five yrs and three yrs if they are married to a citizen, It would be very unfair to the people who had to go through all the legal papers plus the waiting period.

Illegal Immigration is only problem because we are becoming a socialist country. If we did not have so many socialist programs, the main argument against illegal immigration would be null and void.

It's always for the votes. But it may backfire unless they can come up with some fantastic reason why we should support them.
