We went to a movie on New Year's day, and everyone except my grandmother, and my father, who aren't real movie goers went to see the movie.

When we came home, we found my 86 year old grandmother lying at the bottom of the stairs, and we phoned 911 as she was badly injured.

Only my father was home at the time, but he did not find her. This made me really wonder about a comment he made a few months back about pushing grandma down the stairs...

I knew they were getting very run down by taking care of them, but now I don't know what to do. My grandma will be in the hospital for 2 more days, but the doctor's say she will be fine.

The things going through my head right now, are NOT very pleasant to say the least.

There are senior agency's out there that would help take care of your Grandma. I would not trust your Dad. You may need to ask your Grandmother what happened. I would see if she fell or was she pushed down the stairs. If she was pushed I would contact the police and have him arrested for abuse.

I think you already know the answer to the question your father is tired of taking care of GrandMa so he push her down the stairs.

Unless you want the added responsibility of carring the burden of your grandmothers murder by your fathers hand on you for the rest of your life I suggest you sit down and speak with your parents about putting grandma in a good nursing home.

If money is of a concern and your parents want the money and not grandma there is not much you can do but report your parents to the police.

I am not sure that you want to report your parents or turn them into an agency without a lot of proof of negigence.

I suggest you pretend to leave for the evening and monitor Grandma and your father to see what happends

I woudl say ask grandma but it has been my exoperience that old people refuse to name thier kids are care takers as abuser for fear of what people will think or because they love them.

Good Luck

Ask your grandma how she fell, she what her response is. I'd say if you are really worried that your dad pushed her, don't leave your dad and her together alone. Let another adult family member know who can help you. good luck

Yeah confusing. Your father should not even say something like that. Elderly people do fall often though, bless them. Hopefully your father didn't push her though, there's no way to really tell, unless she tells yau'll. Sorry, goodluck.

there is nothing you can really do at this stage as you have no evidence to back up your theory.Watch your dad though in the future and if strange incidents keep occuring then you should call a private investigator.Good luck!

You need to ask your grandmother what happened to her and if she was pushed, you MUST contact Adult Protective Services. She needs to be protected, not abused.
