Well I'm an atheist. If I saved them I would be going against their God.
I'd be as bad as Forrest Gump when he saved Lt. Dan.

It is your obligation to help and save someone who is drowning whether or not he is a christian or a muslim or whatever. It is the humane and moral thing to do no matter what your religion is.
Also, after you save him....you should shake him hard and tell him to wake up and stop using christianity as his crutch.

Yeah, if I were a Christian and I was drowning and some asshole would save me, I'd be so mad.

You aren't God and can't make that decision. ;<}
Aren't you going to feel like a fool when all is said and done and you were wrong? Then what, never mind? You sound intelligent, you even capitalized Christian, so you must know its wise to cover all your bases and you think that would especially apply to all your tomorrows wherever they are.
Good luck.

Well, I'd have to look at it like this... If a toddler loved trains and was standing on the tracks with his arms outstretched to hug an oncoming train, thinking it was like one of his toys, of course you save them. Same thing....... save stupid, maybe they'll get smarter someday. LOL

I had no idea that if I am drowning I am an "it" but anyway... I don't want you to save me. To you I'm just an object... An "IT."

Who says anyone would be able to?
Human nature tells a person to respect life,and to save one is an instinct.

Because this life is precious whether or not there is another one. They believe out of faith. If it were a fact that afterlife existed then your question would be relevant but, being that it cannot be proven, your question is inconsequential.

Because we're still human and have the desire for life just like anyone else.
God created us to enjoy his earth, not float around in some stupid cloud playing a harp.
