I have used:
1. match.com (waste of time so far)
2. e-harmony (the biggest waste of time, IMO)
3. fitness-singles (its ok, but nothing special)
4. adult friend finder (lots of fake profiles and women looking for women)
and one or two others.
I have found that they are a waste of time. The people on there are either assholes, just want to look at pic and not actually interested in meeting anyone, or the ads are fake - just an ad for a porn site disguised as a personals ad.
You can find some nice people, but it is rare. Women often find that guys have posted fake pics of pics that are 10 years old, guys try to smooth-talk you because they are just looking to get laid, the guy is a psycho.
Like i said, it is possible to find a nice person, but you have to be smart about it. You have to keep your eyes open and see what is really going on, not what you'd like to see.

EHarmony.com is the best dating site on the Internet if you are actually looking for a SERIOUS relationship leading to marriage. You answer over 50 personality questions that takes over 45 minutes to complete. Most people looking for something casual won't sign up at EHarmony. Give it a go!

Yes, I used Match.com. I met my husband there. Please make sure that you talk to the person first for a while and to see what there motivations are. People are so phoney.
I met some real frogs before I met my prince.
Got married a couple of weeks ago. We have been joyously happy for about a year.

No....really don't think that's the best option. Try better to go on speed dating or something like that, this way you'll actually get to see the person and make up your mind about it.

no. i'm too nontraditional for those sites. i've scanned profiles and the types of women i'd be interested in are no where to be found on those things.
