Well I have never promised a girl that being that I am a female and not into the ladies. But i have had an ex who did something jsut as bad.... he used to refuse to kiss me after i went down and got him off. I finally told him I wasnt going down anymore until he started at least kissing me afterwards. He promised one time, then did NOT follow thru. He never got head from me again and I dumped his **** shortly thereafter. What a douche.

No that's not a good thing to do. It's call 'burning bridges' and in the dating game one does not want to do that. At 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning when you can't roll over because a certain "piece of wood" that may be the only person that may come to your rescue.
