Who knows, does it even matter? Maybe it did, maybe it just put the wheels in motion 'a la' the big bang. But on the grand sceme of things, does it even matter? Will your life change pro or con if it did or did not? Would God have to create the planets to be God? Does it even matter if God exists or not? What power over you does the answer to this question have? If it does exist but doesn't care, what does that mean than? What if it exists but their is no after life? Again, how does this effect anything?
Maybe you should search inside yourself for an answer since, all you have is your own reality, everything beyond it is out of your control. But if you want to believe it, how can anyone prove you wrong?

The other not so perfect planets were a nifty invention of a quirky beatnik named Dobie Gillis, portrayed by Bob Denver, who later would be better known as Gilligan. LMAO
Actually, the Bible got it covered when it said God created the Heavens and the Earth. The Heavens is a catch-all for anything else that might be up there. I guess we don't live there so the details weren't important.

Yes, God created other worlds, same purpose as earth, also his 'buddies' did too.

I used to wonder as a child, force-fed Christian teachings by my parents, why God would make a planet the size of Jupiter that can fit like 5,000 suns inside, but no one can live on it.
Once I grew up and realized God was everything, everything made more sense.

God didn't create the planets. He drew stars on a piece of cloth and stretched it across the sky like a tent. When you look at the cloth through a telescope the devil makes it look like there are planets there.

Well, whats God have to say about it? According to Genesis, He states "Let US make man in OUR image." So, looks like God does have some pals up there with him, and they must also be Gods.... So, it is possible that his buddies got in on the creation day, but God, being the "angry, jealous God" described in the OT, probably forgot to give a shout-out to his homies when he wrote the Bible....

LOL! I love "a buddy of his".
I believe in the Big Bang, but if I'm wrong, I think it's possible that god has some pals who might be interested in getting into the planet forming business.

God is alone, and independent. He does not need anyone to help Him. He created EVERYTHING, that is the universe and everything inbetween it. There is nothing which God has not created. He has no partners, and never will. He is One, He has no children nor was He a child, and there is none like Him or equal to Him.
