I snapped a screenshot of the error message and uploaded it to photobucket. You can view it with the following URL

http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q137/SpiderWings/Misc/errorcodeonreboot.jpg

But I'm typing it on in here just in case you don't want to try the link.

Runner Error
Could not load the target dll ("C:\Program Files\BackWeb\BackWeb Client\6.2.3.66L\Program\BackWeb.dll", error code 126)

1. I've explored the Program Files and can't find any files with the path indicated.
2. I've run msconfig, startup and didn't find anything that matched this either.

I started getting this after using Windows Add/Remove Programs to remove an expired WebRoot AntiSpyware program.

I can get past this easily enough by just clicking OK and continueing. But it is an annoyance to have to see it every time I reboot.

Any ideas how to make it go away?

Have you tried using the SYSTEM RESTORE function of Windows XP. It might help to go back to a date before you made the change.

just a thought.

and if you haven't already tried searching online, these articles might help:

You can also try an internet search that is specific to the program you removed, like "runner error+program name"

good luck

Oddsmakers supply the Tigers an more desirable than 50% danger of prevailing their branch. The look head and shoulders above the different communities--inspite of the indisputable fact that, issues are not consistently what they looked. They looked like particular component very last year and ultimately after I wrote them off they made a splash and received the dept--made my head spin.

I would do a search for "backweb" in regedit and delete any entries for DLLs.
