Yes, most definitely!
But I dump the blame on people who cause road rage.
If there is someone going 55 in the left lane, what do you want me to do? I will pass/cut him/her off. I'm not going to lose my cool over it, but that is an act of road rage caused by that person
It also causes huge slowdowns in traffic in general because people only care about themselves!

I think it is a manifestation of things gone terribly wrong in our society today. Time seems to be moving faster and faster and we are pushed harder and harder to meet individual deadlines in every aspect of our lives. A lot of people are in a rush to get somewhere and the amount of traffic/road works, traffic lights, regulations etc on the roads can only lead to frustration which those with violent tendencies give vent to through road rage as the rest of us go into depression. The lucky few laugh and move on. What a world!

The last case of road rage I saw was caused by a man sitting at a green light, talking on the cell. Road rage doesn't come out of nowhere but is caused by inconsiderate drivers.

Yes, its a problem.
What I find is that people are often in a hurry when they aren't going anywhere important. They drive like a maniac and they are just going to the 7-11 or to rent a movie.
And some people lose their temper any time another driver makes a mistake or another driver wants to get in front of them as if one car length is going to make them late for wherever they are going.
Also the vehicle that I drive is larger than average so when there is a little old lady driving 10MPH, people behind me yell, blow their horn and give me dirty looks when they think that I am the cause of the backup.

While road rage gets all the glamour and pub, it's road stupidity that's out there doing all the hard work.
If only there was some sort of way to prevent morons from driving ... like perhaps some sort of qualification system or competency test. Wouldn't that be great?

Well, not in my part of Oklahoma. Small town. We all wave at each other. If the little old gray haired granny gets out on the main road doing 45 in her 91 Buick LeSabre, we just say "Well, bless her heart" and pass when we can, and wave at her as we go by. If two old boys that haven't seen each other in a while stop their pickups blocking the road to talk, we just wait, or if we know either one of them we might even join the conversation.

Most definately! These same people must have been bullys in school; they picked on everyone in school and now they pick on everyone on the roads.
I know many states are trying to cut down on this, in drivers, but I truly believe this behavior began in school. Maybe states should check with a person's school information before issuing them a drivers license.................... this way they could spot the 'bully' behavior and refuse to issue a drivers license - then everyone would be safer on the roads. Or, require ALL drivers to attend a 'rage and anger management' class before getting a license.....

Yes I do, and I don't think that people over 70 should drive or people who has been ticketed twice for drinking and driving
