if you find you made the right decision. no one else has any business with it. you must do what you think you must do its you choice and yours alone. anyway i wish you both good luck and safe return home.

It is never crazy to serve your country. People said the same thing when Pat Tillman left the NFL to serve with his brother. He knew that somtimes there is a higher calling. It doesn't matter if what you are doing now makes you millions, and what you want to do pays next to nothing. He knew what he had to do. His death, while sad, was also very honorable.

I wish you the best, and hope you and your brother make it home safely. People thought I was crazy to join in the 90's. Some people just don't like the military. Many don't understand what a noble thing one does by volunteering to serve this country.

The problem is that they link the military to politicians. They disagree with the decisions of the leaders of this country, and they don't understand that people in the military are under orders. They follow the orders they are given. If you disagree with this conflict, voice it to the politicians, not the military. They are just doing as they were trained.

It's your decision all the way. I myself am against joining the military, so I'm not going to. Seeing as how you wanted to though, it seems fine by me. It's definitely going to be tough and it really changes people, but if it is what you want then go after it. I think you should reconsider the last part though. If you do die, do you want him to fight and die next to you, or go on living?
