I have very fair skin to begin with, but my lips are so pale they are almost white. What do you think is causing this?

I dont think its iron. It might be a different cause. You should go to the doctor or the walk in clinic and get it checked out.

My Iron count was a negative 0 which means I had NO iron whatsoever July 2006. My lips were not white, but I had very dark circles around my eyes and was almost passing out anytime that I tried to to do anything too streneous, I felt as if I could not breath, sleep, or even get out of bed. If you feel you are anemic, go to the doctor! Alot of people are and do not relize it because it happens so gradually. I was close to having a heart attack. I was told not to drive a car until my Iron count got back up beacuse I could of past out and had a car accident and I would of bled to death because I was so low of blood! Take it seriously, unlike me I waited until I was bed ridden.

I know that it can cause the inside of your eyelids to turn white, so I would imagine it could probably cause your lips to turn white too.
