bad things happen everyday ,how you view them from your own experience or from what other people have told you (usually your parents) determines how you cope with it.

Being disturbed is one possible reaction to something. If you can change your viewpoint on something, you might not find it disturbing anymore.

to me it says that one is not troubled by a 'thing' itself, but rather by his own opinion or preconcieved notions about it.
