The London restaurant "Masala Zone" does a dish called gosht dalbalroti. It's a thick lamb curry with chunks of bread in it.

Anyone got a recipe that's similar?

Roti is just the flat bread that they put in the curry near the end of cooking, or to serve with it.

1) Use canned diced tomatoes and tomato paste, not fresh diced tomatoes. 2) Add 1 T brown sugar to your curry 3) There are lots of recipes for curry but the one I usually use is a paste made from: 1/4 cup water 1 T turmeric 1 T cumin 1 T ground coriander 1 T Garam Masala (in the spice section) 1 tsp. ground cardamon 1 tsp. cayenne pepper 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. ground ginger 1/2 tsp. ground clove Mix the spices dry, then add 1/2 of that mixture to the water and form a paste. (Keep the other 1/2 for later, in a jar.) Heat the paste in 2 T canola oil in a skillet for about 1 minute. Add in 1 can diced tomatoes, 1 T brown sugar, small can tomato paste and 1 can water or chicken stock. Let simmer for about 20 mintues, stirring often. Add in your chicken, tofu, peas, etc. In the very end, add in 1/4 cup HEAVY CREAM. Serve with rice. 1/2 tsp. ground clove
