well he knows your expecting it so he probly will wait until he knows your not expecting it! and he probly is trying to find the perfect ring that you like and he also like, and he could be watching those shows so he can propose to you in the most romantic and perfect way. you wont know my fiancee did the same thing to me and waited until i didnt expect it! and you telling him he really doesnt mean it could put him down and think your not serious i said the same thing to my fiancee and after he proposed he told me he thought i didnt want him to propose cause i said he didnt mean it and he took it as i didnt want to get married anytime soon. remember men think in odd ways, i was with my fiancee for 2 years before he propsed and we had a kid a yr ago so now we pushed the wedding back until 2009 to save money. good luck!! trust me dont push the subject wait pationtly and he'll do it!!

My fiance did the same thing! We went ring shopping several times and discussed what our wedding would be like. Then I would just tease him back- "is today going to be the big day!?" He got so sick of it he said he would propose if we went 24 hours without talking about it. He would try to bring it up and I would change the subject. Sure enough, we went 24 hours and he proposed over breakfast! Don't let it drive you nuts- it kinda kills the surprise if you always anticipate it. Don't EVER expect it- my fiance would take me to baseball games, school functions, restaurants. I would sit there thinking..."this is it!" and it never was!!!! Just forget about it and let him know you really don't appreciate the torture, your day will come!
In fact we started planning the wedding before he officially proposed. It was driving my mom nuts so I finally got down on one knee and jokingly proposed to him so we could say we were engaged!

Tell him that an engagement does not HAVE to involve a ring if the money is tight. Here's a good turn on him: Play Paula Abdul's "Will You Marry Me?" when he comes home and get down on your hands and knees and ask HIM.

It sounds like it's going to be real soon. A really good indicator is that he talks to your parent(s). Especially if he seems a little mysterious after wards. I just engaged on Christmas & I knew it was coming, but just didn't know exactly how & when. Mine also told me that money was tight to throw me off. Just try to relax and get ready for the surprise. Good luck!

Comming from a guy who proposed to his gf, now fiancee in Oct there really isn't a sign that a boyfriend is close to proposing. I suppose the only thing that could tip his hand is if he starts asking you to go look at engagement rings with him.

Well it sounds like he wants to propose to you! Don't be negative to him though like, You don't mean it. When he shows you pics of rings, show him what you like, etc. Ask him where he sees the relationship going.
Seems to me he just needs to save some money and then he can get you that lovely ring! Hang in there!

Sounds like he's waiting for the perfect time and place. He's already made up his mind that he wants to do it just needs to get the nerve and go for it. I would think probably on a special day it will happen (birthday, Christmas, Valentines Day, anniversary, etc.) Just be patient and don't push him because then he'll feel forced and pull away. Good luck.

There is really no way of telling. It sounds like he likes torturing you. Maybe if it didn't bug you so much he would just do it. Just blow it off and don't let it get to you. My fiance did the same thing but not that bad.

Mine did the opposite, he use to tease me like yours did and then all the sudden it stopped and he didn't want to talk about any wedding or engagement stuff..... and I was getting pissed and upset thinking this wasn't going anywhere and then BANG, he surprised me. I think every person is different.
