Ok..here goes. Im newly single after 18 yrs of marriage, Im getting back into the dating scene but am not clear on "grooming" down there. Ive always wanted to do it but dont really know what the norm is?? Thanks!!

You mean for the past 18 years you haven't kept yourself groomed? Possibly that is why your marriage ended....because you no longer put forth effort. Sorry but I am being honest. Just because you are married doesn't mean you neglect yourself/the one you're with. Anyway, take showers, use soap and shampoo.

I think its just up to you, I've always trimmed up down there I think it keeps it cleaner and dryer so to speak anyways I just kinda make the top in a rounded shape and then the area thats left I keep pretty short and underneath on the back of the lips that go from where you can see back to your butt totally shaved and soon after you get started its easy to keep up and will actually bug you to have it any other way, i'm so used to it if somehow I happen to see someones stuff that doesnt shave at all I cant believe they can stand that or would have there husband have to see that I guess it was the norm for years and years but I never have liked it or had it no matter what the craz, anyways just go for it a lot of girls just come up with there own style you can make like a square or round and they keep what you do have longer really short or in between whatever you choose I get to where I almost have nothing but thats alittle much as far as still looking like a woman but it comes back quickly, kim

I think you should definitely start off with a trim, then slowly work on shaving it all off. It definitely gets all itchy, scratchy and bumpy if you shave it all off at once. I wouldn't go for the Brazilian wax right away. If you find that you like being totally shaved, then I'd try the Brazilian wax. I have shaved for a couple of years now and I like being completely shaved. It's really just personal preference. I would recommend the Brazilian wax if you want a clean look from front to back, if you know what I mean. (wink, wink)

If you are a woman I suggest you go to a spa that will inform you on the latest forms of "Grooming" or at least tell you what everyone else is doing. If you are a guy, shave the two little friend clean as a whistle and leave a patch up top, or shave it off of your legs of just shave it all. Guys are "all over the place" when we're dealing with that.

The norm is whatever you are comfortable with. I doubt that such grooming will be the first topic on your lips when you meet someone. Why not see where the relationship is going first. Any adjustments usually don't take much time.
Remember that you have to live with the consequences.

Get a trimmer, and have someone trim the whole thing for you. It leaves hair, but it's not long enough to interfere with anything. Short hair is ok down there, long hair is just nasty.
Brazilian going to hurt-don't do that. Unless you take 12 motrin 1/2 hour before going. It might take sting out.

DONT DONT DONT just shave it all off at first, trim it down and then soak in a tub then shave going with the grain. Dont do any more that night, wait about 4 days and then shave down then up and inbetween because I didnt listen to my cuz I just shaved it all and it itched and burned so bad for about a week so be careful.

Try trimming the length of pubic hair down to about 1cm, neatly shaping it into a symmetrical but slender "V" and having your undercarriage waxed or shaved to leave your lips smooth. That's the way my girl does it and I love the fact that she still has some hair but not enough to interfere with oral.
