I am getting married Protestant because I couldn't handle the catholic church and all it's rules. Sorry, but in my mind Jesus doesn't care what church you get married in. Your church, doesn't sound very helpful. You can take the classes in FL and get married in PA but the church has to be willing to help you. I would talk to them again about working in your time frame or start looking for another church.

If you wish to get married in a Catholic church then I suggest you do what the priest says. Become an active member in a Catholic church in your town and take the required classes. Being married in the Catholic church is more than just ambiance and ceremony. Marriage is a holy sacrament between a committed couple and God. If it is not your intention to be an active member of the Catholic church then I suggest you find a Justice of the Peace or another type of minister to perform your ceremony.

You have to go directly through the church in order to become registered, same way with becoming a member of the church. Ask your fiance (whom i'm assuming lives in PA) if they know of any good Catholic churches in the area, and then you can go from there. Another route is having a judge marry you, or doing it at another venue. Good luck and congratulations!

Can't help you !! If you want a Catholic church wedding then you are going to have to change the date of the wedding and take care of the things they require or you could have a civil wedding and follow up with a church wedding at a later date. You should have started planning earlier or been active in your Catholic faith and then you would have known. Good Luck to you. I love weddings.

You must follow the church rules. You need to find a catholic church their in Florida and immediately talk to the priest and tell him your problem. Maybe he can help.

why PA??

usually u get married where the bride lives...general rule of thumb to most states...

first find that out from u r local town hall office... or just get married in court and then have the official ceremony at the church..

What part of PA? I think your best best would be a chapel. Another option is always an outdoor venue....local park, etc.
