To me it means either lullaby or grandmother, although I think it can mean any older woman who takes care of a small child. Therefore the first line can be translated any number of ways having to do with grandmothers, caretakers, lullabies or a combination. From there

To the lullaby of the grandmother (again this is how I would translate this line with nana and nanita although it could mean any number of things)

There is no translation from Spanish to english. It is perfectly clear.
Now, if you want this song in english, so sorry, but it would totally lose its beauty. It would be like destroying a beautiful flower that blooms at dawn. It would be a crime against Nature and against God.
Have you ever thought of a translation of "Annabel Lee" or "The Raven" to a different language ?
