yes it is.it is a very serious sin to kill someone.it doesn't matter what that person did,we do not have the right to take his life.only God can give and take someones life.i am amazed that there are countries in the world were death penalty is still used.Jesus said that if someones harms us we should forgive them.i say that it is hard to do so,but to kill someone for what he did....that's wrong.

Murder is foul and should be avoided. Death is a natural part of life, so why speed up the process? If it involves a criminal, the holy bible states that an eye for an eye will leave the whole world blind. If it is a sickness of mind that caused the individual to commit a crime, he/she should be treated with compassion and kindness in order to find the root cause of mental error. As for a government enacting the death penalty, ask yourself this question, which is more humane: locking someone up for life, or killing them?

When Israel were God's people, the death penalty existed for certain extreme situations.
When Christianity took over, the death penalty was put in the government's hands and Christians would not have to decide.

No. The death of many Native Americans, the Aztecs, the Mayans, the enslavement of Africans and torturing and burning of Pagans is considered acceptable to them.
They still have yet to be punished for that.
