Every month I seem to lose my emotional well-being and can't control it. All I want to do is fight with my boyfriend and sleep all day long. Plus there is absolutely no libido.

You might have premenstrual dysphoric disorder.

PMDD is a very severe form of PMS that affects about 5% of menstruating women. PMDD symptoms include depression, anxiety, tension, irritability and moodiness. Women with PMDD find that it has a very disruptive effect on their lives.

Well you can handle it two different ways...the natural way or the easy way. I chose the natural way. I have been put on a natural hormone cream called Wild Yam 900. You apply it every day to your body. That will even out your hormones. I have also been put on a supplement called GSC that gets your adrenal system functioning properly. Adrenal fatigue can make you feel exactly like you do. I make sure I take a B vitamin supplement every day and the more I avoid high fat, fried foods, caffeine and refined sugar, the better I feel.

Here is your other option, they prescribe Sarafem for women with this trouble. Basically what it is is Prozac. It's the easy way out of the emotional mess, but Prozac doesn't do anything but mask the problem. If you just want relief, then do it. I wanted to try to help my body fix itself naturally.

The mood swings suck and they make you feel completely out of control. I feel your pain. You are definitely suffering from a severe case of PMS. The reason you want to sleep all day long is the fact that its about the only time you can feel relief from the thoughts in your head.

Good luck to you. You are not alone, but there are ways to help you. You'll just have to decide if you want to do it the "hard" natural way or the "medical" way.

A water influenced person would appreciate it if a rational air influenced person gives them logical advise. Going through with the logical advice might take some time, if they end up following it at all. it's not that they want to; it's just that it's not their nature. I have very little water in my chart except my Scorpio Venus. Water ranks last in my entire chart with fire as number one, air as number two, earth as three, and water as four. ( There was this website that told me ). I live with my mom who is over 60 percent water in her whole natal chart. She is not a rational person by any means at all. Like she is the most irrational person I've ever met, completely ruled by her emotions. To be completely honest, sometimes I don't know HOW to help her. In fact, sometimes she annoys me, so I don't know how to deal. A water person is probably better off talking about their problems with another water person or someone with an equal amount of air/water in their charts. I find that air/water people tend to have a good balance of emotions and logic.

Exercise? Try working out in the mornings and eat a healthy diet. I know when I get PMS I want to eat greasy junk food and chocolate, and I think that makes me worse off. I've recently started exercising again after a long break from it, and I'm feeling far less cranky!

I have gone through the same horrible time before I have my period. I don't want to go out, talk to anyone and didn't know why. I started taking Wellbutrin and Depakote and gained close to 30 pounds. I am going to talk to my doctor about this. Please talk to your doctor. They can do something for you. God Bless you, Good luck.

I don't know if you are interested in this route but there are birth controls that can help stabilize PMS.

I hear you on this one, I suffer terribly as well. I even considered a hysterectomy to make it all stop!! I asked my shrink and she suggested I try DHEA.
