Folks, Even a Doctor can't be 100% correct on this. The hymen can be broken by other methods including vigourous exercise, tampon usage (this does happen rarely), and even poor diet. It's a sad fact, and has led to the slaughter of women in 3rd world countries when their husbands believed they were lying to him.
You're best bet is to sit your mother down and tell her directly. Don't get mad if she calls you a 'liar'. Stay calm and say. "Mom, I respect your opinon, but I do want you to know that I wouldn't lie to you about this. I will let you know when it happens and any questions I have, but i want you to have faith in me right now." It can't hurt. Good luck!

You can't really "prove" it...unless your mom's a gynocologist. But, I think the best way to let your parents know you're telling the truth is to shut your mouth. It sounds silly, but the more you argue your point, the more upset you get. Everytime your mom brings it up just say calmly, "mom, I am a virgin." and don't get worked up about it. You might even tell her sometime when you're both calm that it really hurts you that she doesn't believe you and explain your reasons for staying a virgin to her. Writing letters can be great too, because you have a chance to say your peace before the other person interrupts you and you end up not saying everything you wanted to.

Why would your mother suspect that you aren't a virgin? Just do your school work, be on time, tell her where you will be and who you will be with at all times. DON"T be sneaky because then parents tend to think the worst--with good reason. Don't drink or use drugs. Concentrate on being you. Words of wisdom, I always tell my children, "JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE IT, DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO USE IT!" Saving your virginity will not only save you for marriage but you will keep your self esteem, self-respect and self-image.

I don't think a Dr. exam would prove anything. A lot of girl's hymens tear before they actually have intercourse for the first time. (from sports, cheerleading, horseback riding, dancing, etc...)The only thing you can do is just tell her that you will let her know when you are or think you will be sexually active so you two can discuss birth control.

Just firmly say to her, "Mom, I am a virgin. And I solemly promise I will personally and promptly tell you when I get laid the first time and not a virgin any longer."

what would make her think you are not a virgin? your mother should trust your word. was she not a virgin at your age? that is so sad.. tell her that she can believe you or not believe you and that is her choice but you know whether you are or not. tell her she has to trust you in your word. and leave it at that. good luck.. I believe you!!

the answers that you are getting here are correct, a Dr can verify this but the underlying issue is Trust between your Mum and you, this will need to be worked on as I don't feel it is very good.

If your hymen is still intact, a medical exam can prove it. Otherwise it's just a matter of trusting you, and apparently she doesn't.

You can go to a gynocologist and have her prove to your mom that your hymen is still intact.
