Before= glass of fresh juice+ boiled egg

After= Full dinner/ or lunch with no fats

I think it is important to have something concrete before any exercise however it shouldn't be too heavy. Perhpas a bowl of cereal with juice or whole wheat toast if you are working out in the morning.
Should you feel you need for a snack mid morning I would go with maybe yougurt or fresh fruit.

If you are working out mid day or after work I go with the yogurt and or fruit. Lots of water of course. I then eat a normal meal for supper.

after that workout I have a light snack, a yogurt or a fruit. I have my larger meal at night.

b4 -=---=1 Egg, Orange Juice, 1 piece of salmon
After------Gatorade, Fresh juice, fruits and veges and chicken

Sports drinks are VERY high in sugar..Lean protine..water..fruit..
