God did not want Adam and Eve to be like puppets, so God gave them freedom of choice by instructing them not to eat the forbidden fruit. What are your thoughts or views on this question, "Would you rather have a world with freedom of choice" in which we have now which includes the suffering of people, and ultimately death. Or a perfect, innocent world (free from pain, sin and sorrow) in which Adam and Eve lived in until the forbidden fruit had been eaten.

I'd rather live in a perfect world. You'd still have freedom of choice without sinning against God.

I don't mean to be a nit-picker, but the tree in the center of the garden wasn't the only thing they were forbidden to eat. G-d said, "I give you all the herbage to eat, but of the fruit in the center of the garden you shall not eat." That indicates they are not permitted to eat animals, minerals, each other, or that tree.

Not sure why they went for the tree and not a sheep, or some salt. Also not sure why Adam didn't imediately burn that tree down.

Anyways, given a choice betweeen a paradisical world and the world where nothing is accomplished without human suffering, and there is human suffering that doesn't accomplish anything; I'd go with paradise.

To answer your initial question, yes. The forbidden fruit and man's choice to consume it against God's warning shows that mankind is wiked. We chose to do evil.

I think I would rather have a perfect innocent world free from pain, sin and sorrow. We would all be happier and healthier and live better and more fruitful lives.

God gave us freewill bacuse love is only love if it is given freely. A dictator can demand people do things, but then it means nothing. God gave us freewill trusting in us that we would make the right choices. People failed God. First the angel Satan had betrayed God and rebelled, that was the very first sin. After Satan had sinned, he went to destoy Gods people by getting them to turn away from God. He continues to do this each day. People are stupid if they follow the only trick Satan has ever had...that is to take their life that is all good and throw it all away to follow Satans trick that is sin...that will divide them against Christ and ultimately cause their own pain & suffering as a result of the sin choices they make. Duhhh? Why can people be so stupid?

No, eating from the tree was the first time A and E misused their freedom of choice, but that wasn't the first decision they made. They used free will whenever they chose their words, what to eat, what to think about, and where to go. You're probably a student of the bible, so I'm sure you're familiar with Ps. 37:11 and 29 where we read the inspired utterances of King David who prophesied that the meek righteous ones would inherit the earth. This Paradise restored is the hope I hold dear, and I hope to see you there. I'm guessing you're one of my sisters, and if you aren't, it's time for you to study the bible, don't delay. You know who offers free home bible studies- Jehovah's Witnesses!

Eve was just suckered into eating of the tree by that mean ol serpent. But that was her choice. Just as God gives us a choice today: to serve Him or not to serve. We can be free from pain and sorrow when we are with Him. But the wages of sin is DEATH. I mean that burning death.

No!!! This Is

Each morning upon rising, and each evening before sleeping, gives thanks for the life within you and for all life, for the good things the Creator has given you and for the opportunity to grow a little more each day. Consider your thoughts and actions of the past day and seek for the courage and strength to be a better person. Seek for the things that will benefit others (everyone).

2. Respect. Respect means "To feel or show honor or esteem for someone or something; to consider the well being of, or to treat someone or something with deference or courtesy". Showing respect is a basic law of life.

3. Once a council has decided something in unity, respect demands that no one speak secretly against what has been decided. If the council has made an error, that error will become apparent to everyone in its own time.

4. Be truthful at all times, and under all conditions.

5. Always treat your guests with honor and consideration. Give of your best food, your best blankets, the best part of your house, and your best service to your guests.

6. The hurt of one is the hurt of all; the honor of one is the honor of all.

7. Receive strangers and outsiders with a loving heart and as members of the human family.

8. All the races and tribes in the world are like the different colored flowers of one meadow. All are beautiful. As children of the Creator they must all be respected.

9. To serve others, to be of some use to family, community, nation, and the world is one of the main purposes for which human beings have been created. Do not fill yourself with your own affairs and forget you’re most important talks. True happiness comes only to those who dedicate their lives to the service of others.

10. Observe moderation and balance in all things.

11. Know those things that lead to your well-being and those things that lead to your destruction.

12. Listen to and follow the guidance given to your heart. Expect guidance to come in many forms; in prayer, in dreams, in times of quiet solitude, and in the words and deeds of wise Elders and friends.

for sure God created the tree of awareness for use via somebody different than Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve have been so conceited that they theory they could consume of the fruit of the tree even nonetheless it wasnt created for their earnings and that they suffered because of the fact they weren't waiting for it. Adam and Eve had a great number of alternative places the place they may well be, bypass, and stay. they chosen to consume from the tree and have been punished for it.

Yes Adam and Eve were the first to have free choice and they blew it. If not for that mistake one can only imagine how wonderful a lifetime could/would be like.

To answer your initial question, yes, it was, if you believe the story literally or figuratively.

There are several excellent, timeless poems that deal with "innocence vs experience."

I've met some "charismatic born-agains" that act like we could return to some childlike sense of innocence; that it was actually preferable. I guess, for them, it is.

And, of course, you've heard the expression,"ignorance is bliss."

So, take your choice. How do you want to live? Innocent and ignorant? Or open to the rich experiences life has to offer?
