No, I eat a great deal more than five a day. And did you know that when the Government were putting together the campaign, the original figure, what we really need, is 9 portions of fruit and veg per day. As usual, our nanny state decided it was too much to ask us to eat what we need to eat to be really healthy so they made it five portions. What's really sad is that if they had left it at 9 people would probably have eaten five. Because they made it five, most people seem to manage two to three portions per day and don't realise that they are getting nowhere near what they need.

If you mean 5 fruits and veggies, it's actually easier than people may think. 1 serving is pretty small (maybe 1/2 an apple, i think?)... So if you have a full piece of fruit, it probably counts as one serving -- just a side or two of veggies could count as 2 servings!

If you mean 5 food groups, that's a little more difficult. Getting dairy, fruits, veggies, grains, protein in your diet in one day is sometimes overzealous. But I always heard that as long as you mix those things in your diet within a couple of days, your body should be getting the nutrients it needs.

If you mean fruit and veg portions then yes, at least 5.
If you mean meals, then I suppose that's yes too, 3 main plus 2 snacks.

Yes I do...I make this salad combining 5 veggies (they vary), mix them up with some spices and I eat it all day. It really does make me feel healthier and stronger.
